Make a reservation for a mountain hut [Online reservations are convenient!]

First, decide which mountain you want to visit and which mountain hut you want to stay at, and make your reservation early.
Hakubakan mountain huts can be easily and smoothly booked online through their official website..
Reservations can also be made by phone, but it may be difficult to get through when it is busy.

Prepare your guest book and mountain climbing plan (filling them out in advance is safe!)

・You can submit your mountain climbing plan on paper, but it is more convenient to submit it online. If you do submit it on paper, please submit it at the trailhead.

Final confirmation of hiking trails and access

Before climbing, be sure to check the route and road conditions carefully.
The parking lot at Sarukura trailhead will be unavailable in 2025Therefore, please consider alternative parking options or using taxis or buses.

The weather in the mountains can change quickly and it's all about physical endurance. Make sure you're well equipped and in good health, and get started early.

The golden rule is to arrive at the mountain hut by 3pm!
"Leaving early and arriving early" is the basic rule for mountain climbing. Make a reasonable plan.

Check in, pay, and receive guidance at the mountain hut

Upon arrival, please submit your guest book at the reception desk.Pay for your stay in cash.
