SARUKURASO HUT / HAKUBAJIRI

Sarukura Hut / Hakuba-Jiri Campsite

The Gateway to Mt. Shirouma via the Daisekkei Route

Sarukura Hut is located at the trailhead of the Hakuba Daisekkei, one of Japan’s Three Great Snow Valleys. In spring, the area is adorned with vibrant new greenery, while autumn brings fiery red rowan leaves and golden beech forests that blanket the landscape in seasonal color.
Nearby, the Hakuba-Jiri Campsite is the closest tent site to the Daisekkei snowfield.

During the summer season, a climbing information center operated by certified local guides is set up here, making Sarukura Hut the primary gateway to Mt. Hakuba via the iconic Daisekkei Route.
